EuropeActive takes the spotlight at the European Week of Sport Kickoff in Valencia

EuropeActive took central stage as a prominent participant in the launch of the European Week of Sport, held this year in the city of Valencia on the 23rd  of September. This European Commission’s initiative, which aims to promote physical activity and a healthier lifestyle across the continent, brought together key stakeholders and policymakers from all over Europe as well as fitness enthusiasts who enjoyed a day full of physical activity challenges.

As an official partner of the Week, EuropeActive's involvement in this prestigious initiative underscores its unwavering commitment to fostering a more active and healthier Europe. Featured as one of the main partners of the week, EuropeActive addressed the audience to present the #BEACTIVE DAY campaign, EuropeActive’s main contribution to the European Week of Sport.

This physical activity campaign took place on September 23rd in more than 24 European countries, just proving how proactive the fitness and physical sector are in getting people moving across the continent. EuropeActive’s national association partners played a key role in this campaign by coordinating at national level the thousands of events that took place in several locations such us fitness clubs, parks, workplaces, schools, etc.

The European Week of Sport launch in Valencia was preceded by the "Safe Environment in Sport" conference at the Palacio de las Artes in the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (CAC) on Friday, 22 September. The event aimed to address critical issues related to safety and security in sports environments, bringing together authorities, experts, and professionals from various fields.
